If the kid is into these little cars, I'll bet they pick the shiny one. Metal pedal cars are FUN! If there is a concern about 'preservation' find a cheap beat up one and give it a nice new coat of bright paint. You know, there's a reason those things are worth money and 100% plastic Big Wheels are not. He enjoys this toy as much as I did growing up and I hope I can pass it down to him someday! It's not in perfect condition, but I wouldn't let a baby play with it either.
